Roman Deev, leading researcher at Genotarget and head of the Department of Pathological Anatomy at Mechnikov North-Western State Medical University, presented talks at conferences at opposite ends of the country. On September 11–13, the CRISPR-2023 congress, dedicated to the use of the CRISPR/Cas9 system, a revolutionary genome editing method, was held in Akademgorodok, Novosibirsk. Leading scientists in modern biology and medicine were invited. Roman Deev spoke in the Gene Therapy section with the talk “Efficacy analysis of an AAV-based dual-vector system for the treatment of dysferlinopathy in a preclinical study.”

On September 11–15, the 24th Congress of the Pavlov Physiological Society was held in St. Petersburg. At the symposium “Skeletal muscle: regeneration, pathology and aging,” Roman Deev gave a talk on “Histopathophysiology of skeletal muscle in hereditary myopathies and gene therapy.”
